Blasch brands
from ALRAM to VectorWall

Every product family and material grade by name, with the page that explains it.

You heard a name at a conference or saw it on a drawing.
Here is what it is and where it works.

In short

Blasch Precision Ceramics sells its engineered ceramic systems and material grades under 18 brand names. StaBlox, VectorWall and HexWall are interlocking structures for furnaces; CeraLine, Verkapse, SiClone and ProLok protect against wear; ProCaster, InterLok, CeraLoop, DuraLadle and ALRAM serve molten metal; OXYTRON, NITRON, ALTRON, ULTRON, SINTRON and InVinCer are Blasch material grades. Each name below links to the page that explains it.

Interlocking structures
for furnaces

Precast blocks that lock together without mortar, for the hottest and most stressed walls in a plant.

StaBlox

Flue gas tunnel system for top-fired steam methane reformers, stacked from interlocking precast blocks.

VectorWall

Mixing checkerwall of six-sided blocks that steers gas flow in Claus and other reaction furnaces.

VectorWall checkerwall
Interlocking hexagonal checkerwall blocks

HexWall

Patented checkerwall of hexagonal blocks with tabs and slots, cast in a creep resistant mullite bonded grade.

Wear, flow and boiler protection

CeraLine

Abrasion resistant ceramic lined elbows, pipe and spool linings for ash, slurry, catalyst and other abrasive flows, introduced in 2015. CeraLine lined pipe and elbows

Verkapse

Ceramic liners encased in polyurethane for hydrocyclones and other mineral processing equipment, delivered as complete assemblies from one source. Hydrocyclone liners

SiClone

Silicon carbide components for mechanical dust collectors, made in OXYTRON and ALTRON to replace worn steel and cast iron parts. SiClone dust collector components

ProLok

Patented two-piece twist and lock ferrule for waste heat boilers: head and stem lock together, so vibration cannot walk the stem out of the tubesheet. ProLok ferrules

Molten metal

ProCaster

Ceramic crucibles for coreless induction furnaces up to 5,000 lb capacity, plus one-shot crucibles for a fresh crucible every melt. ProCaster crucibles

InterLok

Segmented crucible lining of tongue and groove ceramic tiles for large induction furnaces, built to take repeated heating and cooling. InterLok lining system

CeraLoop

Fully fired, erosion resistant ceramic lining for channel induction furnaces that melt and hold nonferrous metal. CeraLoop furnace linings

DuraLadle

Auto ladle for aluminum die casting, made of OXYTRON, which aluminum does not wet, in a reusable metal holder for quick changes. DuraLadle auto ladle

ALRAM

Backup ramming mixes rated above 1,650 °C (3,000 °F): ALRAM 4041 behind InterLok linings, ALRAM 3030 behind monolithic crucibles from 5 to 1,000 lb. ALRAM backup ram

One name, | one problem

Each Blasch brand stands for one failure that kept coming back in a plant, and for the part that was designed to stop it.

Material grades

OXYTRON

Oxide bonded silicon carbide for wear, corrosion and thermal shock. The latest generation, OXYTRON 015XDII, is non-wetting for nonferrous metal. Oxide bonded silicon carbide

NITRON

Nitride bonded silicon carbide. NITRON grade

ALTRON

Alumina bonded silicon carbide, used among other parts for abrasion resistant air grid nozzles. ALTRON grade

ULTRON

Sintered silicon carbide. ULTRON grade

SINTRON

Silicon nitride. SINTRON grade

InVinCer

Two silicon carbide grades: InVinCer RB, reaction bonded, and InVinCer Rx, recrystallized.

Frequently asked

Questions about Blasch brands

Is CeraLine a coating?

No. CeraLine is a cast ceramic liner with its own wall thickness, fitted inside the pipe, elbow or spool. Blasch does not coat or spray.

Are OXYTRON and ALTRON products or materials?

Materials. They are silicon carbide grades that Blasch casts into many products, for example SiClone dust collector parts and DuraLadle auto ladles.

Can Blasch make a part that has no brand name?

Yes. Most Blasch parts are custom shapes designed for one application from its dimensions and operating conditions.

Where can I read about new Blasch brands?

New product lines and material grades are announced in the news. Partners that sell some of these systems in their industries are listed under locations and representatives.
