In short

You reach a Blasch engineer by calling 1-800-550-5768 or 518-436-1263, or by sending the form on this page with the dimensions of the part, the medium, the temperature and the flow. A member of the technical team in Albany, New York, reviews the application and answers you directly. You do not need a drawing to start.

What to put
in your inquiry

Four details let an engineer judge the application on the first read. If you only know some of them, send what you have.

01

Dimensions

Outside and inside diameter, length, wall thickness, flange or mounting details. A sketch with numbers or a photo of the worn part works as well as a drawing.

02

Medium

What touches the part: slurry, ash, catalyst, flue gas, molten metal or acid. Particle size and solids content help where wear is the problem.

03

Temperature

The normal operating temperature, the peaks, and how fast it changes at startup, shutdown or an upset. Thermal cycling often decides the material.

04

Flow

Velocity, flow rate or pressure, and the angle at which the medium hits the part. Add how long the current part lasts and where it fails first.
